About Omar Khan

Khan's unique, international background drives his vision for business leadership and Sensei International. He was born in Cairo, Egypt. As the son of a Pakistani diplomat, he grew up in New York, Kuwait, Germany, Holland, and Japan. Khan calls New York City home, however, and remembers with great fondness his early school years there. Khan chose to pursue his BA and MA at Oxford University, attending University College. He studied philosophy, as well as politics and economics. "I befriended many of my professors and spent evenings being educated by their company in ways that went far beyond the curriculum. Many are friends to this day." While at Oxford, Khan enjoyed philosophical discussions with Isaiah Berlin and helped run The Oxford Counseling Center, Nightline, operated primarily by Dominicans. "Here I learned about the Dominican order, crisis counseling and marketing and establishing a voluntary but highly needed service," says Khan. Because his father had always hoped he would become a lawyer, Khan went on to Stanford Law School but found his heard wasn't in that profession. Instead, he discovered and became one of the early champions of "Transformational Learning" in the United States and throughout the world.
"Synergy," Khan's first book, was hailed by an eminent reviewer as "a blow for civilization." His second book, "Timeless Leadership," offers advice on leadership development, breakthrough innovation, creating passionate performance cultures, brand building, and success coaching.
