About Lisa Witter
Lisa Witter is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Fenton Communication, the largest public interest communications firm in the country. She heads the firm's practice in women's issues and global affairs and her clients have ranged from Harvard School of Public Health, American Lung Association, Air America Radio, MoveOn.org, Women for Women International, Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Maathai, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and many others. Witter is a co-founder of award-winning SheSource.org, an online brain trust of women experts to help close the gender gap among commentators in the news media. In 2000, she was the chief strategist behind the American Medical Association campaign to successfully block NBC from airing hard liquor ads, thwarting one of the biggest advertising arrangements in television history. Ms. Witter is a political commentator, a seasoned public speaker on the political, nonprofit and philanthropic circuits.
